Accessibility
We want recovery information to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
Our aim
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We have not been independently audited or certified. Accessibility is something we keep working on as pages change.
Built-in accessibility tools
Every page has an "Accessibility options" button in the bottom-right corner. It opens a panel where you can:
- Increase or decrease text size
- Turn on high contrast mode
- Turn on grayscale mode
- Highlight links so they stand out from body text
- Switch to a readable system sans-serif font
- Stop animations and transitions
- Reset everything back to the default view
Your choices stay applied as you move between pages for the rest of your browsing session. The site also respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting automatically.
Other measures
- A "Skip to main content" link as the first item you reach with Tab
- Keyboard access with visible focus outlines on links, buttons, and fields
- Semantic landmarks for the header, navigation, main content, and footer
- Labels on every form field and text alternatives for images
